Tarragona

Tarragona was founded by the Romans in the 3rd century BC. and became the most important colony in Spain. The Archaeological Museum and the Necropolis Museum show an interesting collection of Roman objects and artifacts. The cathedral, built in the 12th century on the ancient Roman temple, houses the Diocesan Museum, where you can appreciate medieval and modern Catalan art.
Tarragona also offers a varied range of leisure and recreation. The Port Aventura theme park, the largest in Spain, is very close, in Salou. Near to it, there is Ferrari Land, the official theme park of the famous sport cars brand.

Monastery of Montserrat
The Montserrat Monastery is an important religious and cultural place in Catalonia, located on the mountain of the same name.
The monastery was founded in the 11th century by Abbot Oliba and houses the image of the Virgin of Montserrat, patron saint of Catalonia. The monastery is also known for its Escolanía, one of the oldest children’s choirs in Europe, which performs during religious ceremonies and community prayers in the basilica.
The monastery has a museum with works of art by many prominent painters, a library with more than 300,000 volumes and a publishing house that is one of the oldest in the world.
The monastery is located 48 kilometers northwest of Barcelona. From the monastery you can enjoy spectacular views of the Catalan landscape and access different hiking routes through the Montserrat natural park.
Dalí Theatre-Museum
The Dalí Theatre-Museum is a museum dedicated entirely to the painter Salvador Dalí in Figueres. The museum occupies the old Municipal Theater of Figueres, which was destroyed by fire at the end of the Spanish Civil War. Dalí conceived and designed the museum as a total work of art, where some of his most famous works are exhibited, as well as surrealist objects, installations and decorations created by himself. The museum also houses the crypt where the artist is buried.
The Dalí Theatre-Museum is the most visited museum in Spain and one of the most popular in the world. Its collection allows the visitor to capture the artistic journey of Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) through a wide spectrum of works.
